Maybe you want to train for your first 5k, successfully complete a marathon, or simply have more tools to run for fun. We’ve got you!

The running instruction we provide at Fitness Union is rooted in science, personalized to each runner, and guided by coach Kim — a Pose Certified Running Technique Specialist & Certified Mindfulness Meditation Teacher.

When you learn proper form and technique, you will become more efficient. With more efficiency, running will feel easier. The easier it feels, the faster and longer you can run — with less injury, and more joy, power, and skill.

The flexibility to be able to head outdoors for a quick run instead of working out indoors is so freeing! Fresh air and nature are magic for our well-being, and the option to go out for a good run is a great conditioning supplement to any additional strength program.

I found a love for running during a super challenging time in my life, which led me to train for and complete my first marathon.

It was one of the greatest accomplishments of my life and solidified running as a stress-relief staple and go-to movement practice.

I have the distinction of being the only running coach in Oregon that holds the Certification as a Pose Running Technique Specialist. 

The Pose Method is an extensive and rigorous running technique program developed by Dr. Nicholas Romanov, a world-renowned sports scientist, Olympic Coach and bestselling author.

I am trained to coach you in proper technique so that you can run with good form, using physics and a science-based method to ensure your success at running injury free and with ease and efficiency. I also draw on my background in mindfulness meditation to ensure our practices tend to body, mind, and spirit.

Running Clinics

Are you a runner or aspiring runner looking for some tools and tips to run with more confidence, more ease, and less risk of injury? If you are interested in learning how to run mindfully, this workshop is for you! 

Running Clinics offer a blend of mindfulness practices and Pose Running techniques, drawing on science and spirit. We’ll explore running technique and form so that you can run with efficiency (and more joy!), for longer distances, all while reducing your risk of injury. We’ll engage in a hands-on, movement-oriented, experiential learning process — interwoven with some journaling and meditation throughout. 

This Clinic will benefit runners of all backgrounds and levels of experience. Each participant will receive pre and post-run analysis, education, drills and coaching, as well as a 5k training program. This Clinic is a prerequisite for any upcoming Fitness Union Run groups.

We’ll meet you where you’re at and move you in the direction of where you want to go. Let’s run!

Running clinics are usually a 3-4 hour intensive and cost $250/person

1:1 Running Coaching

Are you looking to become a runner or improve your running practice? Do you find yourself getting injured, feeling sluggish or inefficient? Would you like to increase your running pace or distance but can’t figure out how to do so?

Running, like all other sports and physical activities, takes skill and technique.

Using physics and a science-based method to ensure your success at running injury free with ease and increased ability, we’ll establish a customized program that includes mobility, strength, and drills, along with hands-on training. You’ll gain the knowledge and practice to run mindfully with proper technique and will feel empowered to be a successful runner — whatever success means to you! 

Whether you hate to run or love to run, running coaching will benefit you. Learn to run with less effort and pain, and more freedom and enjoyment. 

What’s Included?

  • Monthly in-person coaching session (50 min session)

  • Customized and personalized training curriculum

  • Step-by-step running technique training for all levels of runners

  • 5k training program (once you complete your program you will receive a 5k program so that you can successfully prepare for a 5k race or fun run).

To make sure we’re a great fit, I only work with clients who have passed the readiness questionnaire. If you are feeling committed and disciplined enough to achieve your running goals, please contact me to apply.

Generally, three to four sessions are enough to get you all the support and information you need — but add-on sessions are always available.  

  • Running coaching is offered on Fridays and Saturdays.

  • Sessions cost $125/50-min session

  • Purchase five sessions for $500
